Alexandre Aja’s remake of Joe Dante’s campy 1978 horror film, is itself a satire of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws. When an earthquake tears open the bottom of Lake Havasu, schools of carnivorous piranhas are released from their underwater lair, and the lake turns into a bloody, frenzied death trap for unwitting water-goers during spring break.

The military has been called in to quarantine the entire town, nobody in or out. Soon even they can’t help the situation as they are eaten by the hordes of zombies. Corporal Sarah Bowman, and a small group of people attempt to survive and head out of town. This is a remake of George A. Romero’s Day of the Dead.

Donna and her friends head off to senior prom, but what Donna doesn’t know is that a killer who stalked her years ago has followed her to the hotel where Prom is taking place. One by one her friends are killed off as he tries to get her alone. Will Donna be able to escape? This is loosely remade from the 1980 film of the same title starring Jamie Lee Curtis.
