After a snowmobile accident, a young couple is stranded in the woods and must survive while waiting for help to arrive. Events take a turn for the worse after the disappearance of Emma's boyfriend, leaving her on her own not only to battle the elements, but also to elude a mysterious hunter who is tracking her through the forest.

This one was recommended by a fellow horror fan. One who normally recommends stuff I really end up loving, such as the film Frozen, and the book Evil (wow, neither are reviewed here yet!). But this one I just couldn’t get into...

Two girls left to fend for themselves in the forest for five lonely years after the deaths of their parents find refuge in the home of their uncle. But it soon becomes clear that the girls have not arrived alone in this woodsy supernatural chiller.

I had no clue what this movie was about before I requested it for review. I had recalled seeing commercials for it awhile back and I remembered hearing some rumblings about how great it was. I also seem to recall some people telling me that I had to see it, that it was pretty scary. Then I got it in the mail and people kept telling me it was crap.

It was the perfect weekend...for murder.

Lara thought the ski trip should be a blast. The old gang was getting together again for the first time in years. What could be better than six single girls out for sun and ski and apres ski -- plus a huge house and a warm fire? Even with the memory of what had happened the last time, it looked like the perfect weekend. Until things started to go wrong....

It wasn't much at first -- a snowman that melted when it shouldn't have, a weird phone call. But then somebody went out for "one last run" and didn't come back. And the storm they heard about on the radio was getting worse. Lara thought everyone was up there for a good time. But she was beginning to realize that someone was up there for murder...

After four teenage friends crash their car, they discover a deserted church nearby and decide to wait there for help. To pass the time, they recount well-known urban legends with twists.

Please please please, do not confuse this movie with the shitty movie called Campfire Stories. That ones a piece of crap, while this one is really good. (I haven’t seen the “Campfire Tales” film with Gunner Hansen so I can’t tell you about that one.) But this one has been a favorite of mine since I first saw it. In fact, I have GOT to get my niece (16yrs old) and nephew (13yrs old) to watch this next week. I’m sure I could spook them silly with it, as I did with their sister...

A gruesome tale of ecological horror that follows unfolding events in a seaside Maryland town as a deadly menace infests the bay and turns residents into hosts for mutant parasites.

I’m trying something new here. Quite often I don’t have much to say about a movie, so I end up not bothering to write a review, and then a couple weeks later I regret it. So, from now on I will do “Mini Reviews” where I just write an overall paragraph or two about what I thought.

The Bay is a movie about a parasite in fish that somehow has found its way into humans. Now, I’ve watched a few parasite movies in my life, and I don’t remember actually seeing nasty bugs, so I wasn’t even thinking about that when I started watching this one...

The weekend in Mexico sounded like a dream vacation. Four guys, five girls--and a gorgeous ocean-side mansion all to themselves. It should have been perfect.

Except nothing was going the way they'd planned. There was the girl upstairs who was fighting for her life. The phone lines that went dead. And the explosion in the garage that could have killed them all.

But not even that prepared them for what happened next. Because while they were getting some sun, someone else was getting revenge--and the terror wouldn't stop until the weekend was over.

Wow, by the time I sat down and found the time to write this review its now a month or so after I finished reading it. My hubby’s been off of work with medical issues for the last month and I haven’t had a moment..
