I will review most if not all books (and movies) I read/watch that fit the theme of this site (Horror/Thriller/Mystery/Paranormal), some books/movies I haven‘t bothered to review because (they weren’t requested) I don‘t have much to say about them. However, if you want me to review your book or movie in an honest fashion, I will gladly do so providing it fit’s the theme of this blog, and sounds interesting to me. It would be wrong of me to review anything that doesn’t seem interesting as it might sway my review to the negative side unfairly. If I say yes to your material a review WILL be written.
I track all the books I read and review on GoodReads, Amazon, Facebook, sometimes Camp Blood’s Forum and of course here at SOH. I also post mini updates to GoodReads and from there they auto update to a different Facebook then connected to this site, so the review will reach many more people.
I can’t give you a specific time frame of when my review on your material will be up. If you have a specific date that it HAS to be done by please let me know in the email you send. This is VERY important as I do sometimes get copies of books via NetGalley or movies through distribution companies and those have to be reviewed ASAP so other works might get pushed back. I also usually have 100+ books on my “to read” list, as well as 70+ movies on Netflix to get around to watching/reviewing.
I currently accept E-Books that are formatted correctly for KINDLE. I only read E-Books via the Kindle so if one is sent and the format is too confusing to read, I will not review it. I’ve done this in the past, and I hate being confused and annoyed at poorly formatted E-Books.
I will also accept printed copies, but prefer E-Books – plus, its no extra cost to you to send me an E-Book. If you choose to send an E-Book I give my word that it will not be shared or uploaded to anyone or anywhere on the internet. It will remain in my possession only. The same policy will be upheld for any review material sent to me through the Postal Service, however anything sent through the mail will NOT be mailed back.
As for movies, I can accept BluRay and regular DVDs. But beware I’m VERY picky about my movies. I cannot stand bad acting and try to avoid it whenever I can. I’m not interested in fan projects or student film projects. Sorry.

If I choose to review your book/movie I will get back to you within 1-5 days. If you don’t hear back from me, I’m kindly refusing your request.
