Please please please, do not confuse this movie with the shitty movie called Campfire Stories. That ones a piece of crap, while this one is really good. (I haven’t seen the “Campfire Tales” film with Gunner Hansen so I can’t tell you about that one.) But this one has been a favorite of mine since I first saw it. Weekend by Christopher Pike (Book Review)
The weekend in Mexico sounded like a dream vacation. Four guys, five girls--and a gorgeous ocean-side mansion all to themselves. It should have been perfect.
Except nothing was going the way they'd planned. There was the girl upstairs who was fighting for her life. The phone lines that went dead. And the explosion in the garage that could have killed them all.

Bait (2012)
A group of survivors suddenly find themselves trapped inside a submerged supermarket, following a freak tsunami. In the second, four teens are stranded on a raft on a lake with a blob that is hungry. And in the third, a hit and run woman is terrorized by the hitchhiker she accidentally killed...

In this made for TV movie (SyFy Original), a group of friends band together to hide the truth about an accidental death of one of their friends one night while out partying on a lake. 10 years later aspiring journalist Katherine is asked to return to her hometown and cover the annual Mothman Festival. There she is reunited with her old friends, and soon enough the Mothman appears and begins killing her friends one by one...

Incident On and Off a Mountain Road by Joe R. Lansdale (Book Review)
Chased through the woods at night by the maniacal Moon Face after a car accident, Ellen defends herself by rigging a series of booby traps she learned from her cruel survivalist husband. But her tricks may not be enough to stave off the creepy predator. This is a short story that was later adapted into an episode of Masters of Horror on Showtime in 2006.
