ere’s one that was mailed to me that I’d never heard about before. I had no idea what “Mimesis” even meant until later when its defined within the movie. It basically means to imitate. Which exactly what this movie does...

Trying to exorcise her worst memories, Claire returns to the foster home where she witnessed a terrible massacre years ago. But she and her friends soon find they've been locked inside with an evil spirit who wants to perpetrate another mass murder.

Had this one in my Netflix Queue for awhile before I finally watched it last night. I expected crap from this flick but instead got a mixed bag. While the acting and production values were pretty decent, other then a few CGI scenes I didn’t care for, the overall plot was interesting...

The cast and crew of the horror flick Hot Blooded get a shock when a mysterious killer slaughters their director. Now, each time someone tries to complete the film there's another brutal slaying. But a little massacre isn't going to stop the next batch of bright would-be filmmakers: They'll finish the film if it kills them -- and it probably will -- in this gory horror flick starring Molly Ringwald.

Not a whole lot to say about this movie honestly. It's pretty straight forward, nothing awful, but nothing great.

Attacked by zombies, Ashley discovers that she is a 'Wild-Card' -- immune to the virus -- and she is recruited to fight back and try to control the outbreak. It's Buffy meets the Walking Dead in a rapid-fire zombie adventure!

I was asked to review this and had no idea what I was getting into other then it was a zombie book. I haven’t read many of those so I figured why not...

Madison County (2011)

A group of college kids travel to a small, mountain town called Madison County to interview the author of a tell-all book on the accounts of several grisly murders that happened there. But when the kids get to Madison County, the author is no where to be found and the towns people act like they haven't seen him in years. They also say that the killer never existed and the murders never happened.

I expected this to be garbage. Redbox users rated this as a horrible filmed in the backyard sort of movie. So, I was happy when it turned out not to be nearly that bad...

Fear Island (2009)

A group of friends arrive at a secluded island cabin for a weekend getaway. After a night of music, drinking and getting re-acquainted the friends are shocked to find the cabin's caretaker murdered and the only boat off the island gone. Stranded on the island they become the prey of a mysterious killer who seems bent on revenge for something . . .

The movie starts out with a girl huddled in the woods covered in blood with a knife. Police close in on her and she is taken to be questioned. Right from the get-go we are told everyone else is dead. Geeze, way to ruin it
