Mama (2013)

Two girls left to fend for themselves in the forest for five lonely years after the deaths of their parents find refuge in the home of their uncle. But it soon becomes clear that the girls have not arrived alone in this woodsy supernatural chiller.

I had no clue what this movie was about before I requested it for review. I had recalled seeing commercials for it awhile back and I remembered hearing some rumblings about how great it was. I also seem to recall some people telling me that I had to see it, that it was pretty scary. Then I got it in the mail and people kept telling me it was crap. Continue reading

Chain Letter 2 The Ancient Evil by Christopher Pike (Book Review)

After receiving a chain letter, a group of teens decides it must be a joke--after all, the perpetrator of the original chain letter is dead and buried. But when Fran refuses to perform her "deed", she is severely punished, and the group realizes that the power behind the letters is still alive.

I think I’d only read this book once as a teen and I didn’t like it overall. Going into it this time around I couldn’t remember much, but as I kept reading things came back to me... Continue reading

Another Netflix streaming film I avoided due to the bad rating. I actually avoided this for six months! Today I watched part of the trailer and realized SO many people were in this I just had to watch it. I’m just glad that I knew going into it that it wasn’t a serious movie, that it was more of a dark comedy with zombies. In fact, there is even a singing zombie… Continue reading
